Keith, a veteran and retired police officer, set out on the Appalachian Trail on February 22, 2025, seeking self-discovery and a new challenge after years of service. Hiking solo, Keith’s journey is about pushing his limits and finding new meaning beyond his career. Along the way, he’s faced both the beauty and the hardships of the trail, including a recent setback: a diagnosis of plantar fasciitis that forced him to pause for a couple of days at a campsite. Despite the pain, Keith’s determination shines through—he often motivates himself with the same discipline he learned in the military, sometimes even yelling at himself like a drill instructor to keep moving forward.
Keith is not alone in spirit. He has the unwavering support of his amazing wife, Vicky, his three children, and his grandchildren, who cheer him on from afar and encourage him to keep going. Their love and encouragement are a constant source of strength as he faces the physical and mental challenges of the trail.
Proceeds to benefit NYLEAP - New York Law Enforcement assistance program a PTSD program for law enforcement and to a Wilderness program for veterans, giving back to a cause close to his heart. Your support not only helps Keith complete his journey but also extends hope and resources to other veterans facing their own challenges. Every contribution brings Keith closer to the finish line and helps make a difference for those who have served.
