Keith Ezidore is FREE! On May 12, 2026, Keith Ezidore was finally released after 34 ½ years of wrongful imprisonment for a crime that he did not do. When Keith was arrested in 1991, he was a healthy man in his 30s. While his spirit has remained strong through his years of incarceration, he leaves prison as a physically frail 73-year-old with no assets and multiple chronic health problems. He needs your help to allow him to live with the freedom and dignity that he deserves.
Keith was convicted based solely on the testimony of a juvenile who was approached by his probation officer about an unsolved murder on the day he was to be sentenced to custody. The juvenile told multiple competing stories before settling on a claim that Keith invited him to act as a lookout and so he witnessed Keith committing the murder. The juvenile was then immediately released. At Keith’s 1993 trial, law enforcement hid the incentives given to the juvenile and the probation officer testified falsely about them. In 2025, after years of litigation, Keith’s conviction was finally vacated due to the violations of his constitutional rights. Meanwhile, the former-juvenile witness has spent most of his adult life explaining that he lied at Keith’s trial to get out of his own legal troubles. Despite this, the Attorney General’s Office insists that it will retry Keith so he has only been released after an eight month fight for his right to bail.
In addition to facing retrial, Keith now suffers from suffers from numerous degenerative health conditions affecting his spinal cord, his neck, his left shoulder, his knees, his right leg, his feet, his gastrointestinal system, and his eyes. He relies on a rollator to walk and is a fall risk. While his family has been waiting years for his freedom can provide him a place to stay and loving support, he needs help with his material needs. Every donation helps.
