Keeping Up With Colt

Donation protected
Baby Colt arrived on February 15, 2019.  My wife Katie and I had saved some money to pay for her 8 week maternity leave.  A week ago, Colt developed a bad case of RSV at only 6 weeks old.  He is now on his second hospitalization.  He was admitted to Winchester Medical Center on April 2 for the second time and declined quickly throughout the day.  Because of this decline, he had to be transported to INOVA Fairfax Children’s Hospital for more specialized care.  The hospitalization has kept me off of work for many days to help support Katie (who is still recovering) and Colt.  Although we had saved for a maternity leave, we had not counted on both of us being short on income.  We’re also racking up on astronomical medical bill that will need to be paid as we’re trying to catch up to this setback.  It’s possible that Colt could be here for awhile.  It’s also quite likely that one of us will need to take even more time off to care for Colt during his recovery.  Katie was supposed to go back to work on April 15 and Colt was supposed to go to daycare.  His immune system may not be up to the task of daycare at that point.  Neither one of us enjoys asking for money but when it comes to our child, we are committed to his care and getting him well even if it means playing an impossible game of catch up.  This money will help us give Colt the care he needs to recover.  Please help us and share our GoFundMe.
