My name is Andrew, and I’m starting Keeping Roofs Over Heads because I believe a little bit of help at the right time can stop someone from falling further behind.
There are people and families out there working, parenting, caring, and doing their best, but still struggling to keep up with rent, bills, food, fuel, and everyday costs. For some households, being one week behind can create stress that keeps building.
The goal of this fundraiser is simple:
Help cover one week’s rent at a time for people and families doing it tough.
Instead of putting all the money toward one household, I want to spread the support across multiple homes. Each time we raise enough to cover a week’s rent, I’ll find someone genuinely in need and help pay that rent directly to their real estate, landlord, or rental provider wherever possible.
This keeps the support clear, honest, and focused on what the fundraiser is meant for — keeping people housed.
This is the first stage of something I hope to build bigger over time. My long-term vision for Keeping Roofs Over Heads is to grow enough trust, community support, and following to one day work toward land and housing options for working homeless people — people who are trying, working, and still cannot get stable housing.
But before asking people to support something that big, I want to start small and prove this can be done properly.
That starts here.
One week’s rent. One home at a time.
I will keep records of where the money goes and share updates along the way while protecting people’s privacy and dignity. Any proof of payment shared publicly will have personal details covered. If videos or personal stories are shared, it will only be with permission.
This is not about embarrassing anyone. It is about showing that a community can step in and help people when they need it most.
If you can donate, every amount helps. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser can still make a real difference.
Thank you for helping keep roofs over heads.
