Hello,
My name is Ted Hegwood. I'm a single father raising my 6 year old son Kyson. He will be turning 7 in March. We both are born and raised here in our beautiful home state of Colorado! We love it here and we love eachother more than words can describe. Neither one of us can imagine life without eachother.
Currently I have shared custody with Kyson's Mother equating to about 55% to 45% parenting time with her having slightly more time. She moved to Colorado from California in 2008 we met in 2009 we married shortly after. I became the only father her 4 year old daughter has ever known and loved her completely.
We went through the long IVF process for 2 years to have Kyson. He is a blessing and miracle!
Unfortunately his mother wants to relocate again to Florida with 3rd baby's dad "as that's where his family is from" She is trying to relocate Kyson with her as well. This leaves me with a tiny fraction of time with my son. 6-8 weeks a year. I can't live without my child. He is my world.
I would never ask for this kind of help if we didn't desperately need it. During the divorce process I made many financial concessions because my son was more important than money. However here we are 2 years later and She has been earning child tax credits along with $180,000 in equity earned in our home that I gave up rights to for the sake of having my son.
I just need a little help to afford my attorney so that we can come up with a fair agreement of shared custody. I appreciate everything and any support.
Thank you.
