Hello everyone, my name is Jep. A little about myself:
I am a single father to a wonderful one-year-old son, Maverick. As a public-school teacher in an urban school district, I have dedicated my days to create a better world for all of us, starting at the roots. Now, as a father, it is my greatest desire to make sure that Maverick is able to stay healthy, safe, and grow into a well-adjusted contributing member of the world community. This has been an uphill fight since before his birth.
Over the course of Maverick's 1 year on earth, I have endured a legal tornado having massive amount in legal fees. Enjoying every minute I have with my beautiful son is rewarding, but I continue to weather court conflicts with Maverick's mother and DCF. There have been many unsubstantiated and fabricated lies put forth against me for which I need to defend against these accusations in court. These court filing and attorney fees I pay to defend against these falsehoods have put incredible strain emotionally and financially upon my back. I am happy to burden these weights, for the benefit of my son Maverick, but I need help.
I need help to prevent any damage that losing custody of Maverick might present to him. He is currently in a safe, loving, and stable home with a caring strong role model, me, his father. To rip him from the only home he has known would have long-term consequences. I need help to prevent Maverick's mother from gaining custody of him; I needed to put her out of my home due to actions that were detrimental to his care; this breaks my heart, but for his benefit, it needed to be done. I need help to prevent any further damage to my ability to make a stable home environment: as a 35-year-old teacher, I have already liquidated my savings, retirement, and am at the tipping point on my home equity loan.
I am out of options. My life's goal is to provide the best possible life for my son. I need help in order to continue to meet that goal. It is in that goal that I need your help to keep Maverick safe and healthy; both physically and emotionally.
