Hi everyone, my name is Gabriela, and I’m writing this because I’ve hit a point where I can no longer do this alone.
Since being laid off back in September, I’ve been working tirelessly to find a new job. Despite hundreds of applications and interviews, the market has been incredibly difficult, and my savings have completely dried up. Now, I’m facing an even bigger crisis: I have to move out immediately.
My biggest fear isn't just for myself—it's for my dog, Leia. She has been my rock through this entire year of unemployment, and I cannot imagine a world where I can't provide a safe roof over her head.
Right now, I am at risk of being out on the streets. I am raising funds of $5,000 to help cover:
A security deposit and first month’s rent for a modest, pet-friendly space.
Moving costs to get my essentials into storage or a new room.
Basic necessities for Leia and myself while I continue my daily job search.
I am not someone who usually asks for a handout, but I am in a desperate situation. Every dollar donated goes directly toward ensuring we have a safe place to sleep and the stability I need to finally land my next role.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this link. Spreading the word is just as powerful as a donation.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and for helping me keep my family together.
