Keep the Winterburn Family in Our Community

Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Kind-Hearted Community Members,

We are reaching out on behalf of the Winterburn family, who has been an integral and highly involved part of our community for the past seven years. Scarlett has spent countless hours volunteering and fundraising for our schools.

She and Jon have always been reliable, responsible renters, paying their rent on time without fail. Unfortunately, they’ve received devastating news the first day back to school —their lease will not be renewed, and they have until the end of September to find a new place to live.

This unexpected situation has put the family in a challenging position. Jon lost his job last year, while Scarlett has been working as a House Manager for local families since then. The uncertainty and rising costs of living have made it difficult for them to secure a new home within such a short timeframe.

The family continues to explore every avenue available to them, but as you can imagine, finding an affordable and stable home on short notice is a daunting task, especially given the current rental & housing market. We desperately want to keep Scarlett, Jon, and their four children within the Lisle Community, the place they have laid roots the past seven years.

This is where we, as a caring community, can step in to make a difference. We are asking for your support in raising funds to help cover the costs associated with securing a new home—whether it’s a down payment, increased rent beyond what they’ve been paying, or other essential living expenses as they navigate this difficult transition.

Your contribution, no matter how small, will have a meaningful impact on this family’s ability to stay in our community and find stability during this trying time.

Please know that this request comes from us, their neighbors and friends, who want to see them thrive and succeed. They are not asking for this help themselves, but we believe that together, we can show them that they are not alone. The funds will go directly to the family.
