Keep the Music Alive: Aid for Mark Good

Hello, everyone!

My name is Angel Good, and I am Mark Good's daughter. I'm sharing this post and fundraiser today because of something that's happened to my dad recently, and I hope that if you see this, you take the time to read through it, as I am trying to raise the banners for my dad.
Many of you know my dad as an entertainer who is always there with a song and a smile, ready and willing to bring the life to your party and get everyone out on the dance floor or up on stage for a song. Though most of you have probably met him through the music scene, at a Moose Lodge, at the Elks, the VFW or even a karaoke event, I believe most of you have come to know him as a dear friend as well, and that is why I've created this fundraiser for him.
Last week, my dad suffered a severe diabetic attack. His sugar was over 600 and this attack left him in the hospital with a serious infection, bed-ridden and unable to work for the foreseeable future. If you know my dad, you know he always tries to stay positive and he never takes a day off. The night that he suffered this attack he still went to work and tried to do his best to give the members of the Goldenrod VFW a fun night, but as the night wore on it became apparent that he needed to go to the hospital immediately. Once he arrived and the ER doctor's realized how critical his condition was, he was emergency transported to another hospital where they are better able to treat him.
I happened to be visiting Florida when this happened, and was at the VFW and before I go on, I would just like to give a personal thank you from the family to everyone who helped him take down his music equipment, carry it out to his truck and get him on his way. Seeing the love that people have for my dad and what he does brought me so much joy and comfort, as a daughter who lives far from home. Thank you for loving my dad and being there for him. It means the world.
All of this brings me back to raising the banners for my dad, as high as I can despite being far away. Now that my dad is out of work, I'm asking everyone who is able to donate to this fundraiser so that we can help him through this difficult time. My dad loves to work, he loves bringing smiles to people's faces and sharing music with them. Not being able to share music with people for a while is going to be really hard on him. I know that the family will rally around him, but I'm asking all of his friends and anyone who has enjoyed his music and the joy it brings, to rally around him as well. He needs some time and some help to get back on his feet so he can be with all of you again, and share those songs and smiles for many more years to come. If you're able, please donate. I've tried to set the bar high, but anything you can give will be a great help to him as he recovers and gets his strength back.

Myself and my mom, and my grandmother are all so grateful to everyone who helped and to anyone that supports this fundraiser. We love my dad so much, as I believe many of you do too. He is the music in our lives, so help us keep that music playing.

Love, Angel Good.

Funds will be used to:
*Help my dad pay for his rent, utility bills, diabetes medicine and groceries while he is out of work
*Pay off medical bills, hospital bill and emergency transport bill
*Purchase medications and supplies necessary for his recovery
