The Love Project serves 75-95 women each and every week on Summer Avenue, providing essentials needed for survival. Our bus, Big Bertha, is an integral part of that work. She is our billboard, a recognizable beacon of love for the women we serve. She carries all of the supplies needed each week: tables to hold the items we serve, chairs for our clients to rest in, food to fill hungry bellies, care bags, feminine supplies, first aid, harm reduction, clothing, shoes, and more.

Big Bertha is now in the shop for some major surgery. The fuel tank has a significant leak and repairs cannot be put off any longer. Due to her age and rarity (she was an airport shuttle bus), parts must be fabricated and due to her size, she must be lifted by crane for repairs.

We cannot miss a week on the streets - the women we love count on us to provide them with essentials and love to get through another day. We need Big Bertha back ASAP! Please help us in covering this repair so we can get back on the road and get back to the women who count on us!

We have no grant or private funding. The Love Project runs on support from everyday people like YOU.

Thank you for everything you do to help us care for the forgotten women of Memphis, Tennessee. ❤️
