Keep the Donation Room Open
The Ksan Society Donation Room is slated to close on April 18th due to a funding shortfall of only $15,000
They've given me the go-ahead to seek community support to keep it open.
This program provides FREE clothing, footwear, household items, toys, kitchenware, bedding and towels etc.
For those in our community who have faced economic hardship the Donation Room has made a huge difference.
The program also provides employment for two individuals.
It serves an average of 315 people each month including, for example; individuals leaving abusive relationships, evacuees from the wildfires last year and the Syrian refugees.
It is accessible to anyone in need.
If just 15 people in Terrace donated $1000 or 750 people donated $20, the program could stay open for another year - allowing Ksan House Society to secure alternate funding.
If you, like me, have a roof over your head, food in your cupboard, a warm bed to sleep in, and a little jingle in your pocket, please consider sharing some of your wealth with our friends and neighbours who are facing hard times. Please consider donating to Ksan House Society to keep the Donation Room up and running for the next year.
This is the Ksan House Society's Mission Statement:
"We believe in the inherent value of every human being. We are committed to responding to community need. We empower, assist, and support people experiencing gender violence, violence, poverty, homelessness, and other forms of oppression/marginalization."
