Pete and I have been running the Fort Bidwell Hotel & Restaurant for eight years now. We are the co-owners of the restaurant and the cook and baker. We have spent our years serving our customers and community to the best of our abilities. In addition to the restaurant itself, we manage the hotel, renting out our old-fashioned hotel rooms to guests. We have also run the community Easter egg hunt, the food shelf, seed bank, lending library, and have been significant contributors to our local annual events, the Haunted House and the Christmas Tractor Parade.
The business and us personally are facing a new challenge. Pete, the co-owner and cook, will be having rotator cuff surgery at the start of May. Coming out of winter into a slow start to spring has put us at a significant disadvantage as we approach a potential five-week business closure for his post-op recovery.
While we will be taking our own action to try and cover what we can, we are in a very difficult spot in terms of trying to continue keeping the restaurant running and remain a part of the community that we love.
We are asking for additional support through this difficult time to try and make it through to the next phase. Any contribution towards our goal of keeping the business would be greatly appreciated.
