Hi my name is Barbara, and I am Fundraising on behalf of the Fairfield's working men’s Club which has played an important part of community life in Govan.
it was established in 1895 and became a renowned institution where people from all walks of life came to the club to talk and reminisce about the days gone by in the club.
The Fairfield Club is a much-loved, member-owned venue at the heart of our community. For generations, it’s been a place where the community and groups of people from other towns come together — for music, social events, celebrations, good times, as well as forging friendships / relationships.
We have approximately 300 -400 people accessing the club every week, this includes disabled groups, older people, community functions and family events.
To keep the Club thriving and insured for years to come, we need to carry out essential electrical upgrades before 31st December 2025. These improvements are part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining the building to a high standard and ensuring it’s fit for the future.
The total cost of this work is £60,000, and we’re asking for the support of our community, friends, and supporters near and far to help us reach that goal.
Why the Fairfield Club Matters:
Community-owned and operated: run by local members, for local people.
A vital social hub: home to music nights, events, classes, and community gatherings.
A local landmark: part of our shared heritage, loved by generations.
How Your Support Will Help:

I appreciate your support,
The Fairfield Club Committee
