Keep the doors open at Kosita’s (Bernal’s secret)!
Donation protected
Silvia opened kosita’s pet grooming on may 4th, 2005 in honor of her beloved little rescued stray dog Cosita, a little terrier/chihuahua found in front of her house.
Coming from a background of working in a plumbing company-Silvias world was forever changed by Cosita- and in a huge leap she decided to devote her life to providing compassionate care to animals through her grooming and by volunteering to foster animals in the greatest of need- the castaways: blind dogs, fiv kitties, disabled. Over 150 animal’s lives have been saved over the years, (some adopted by Silvia and Jane, and many placed into homes) all thanks to that tiny girl Cosita.
The hidden gem in all of this is the deep connection that Silvia has developed with her clients over the years, a true feeling of family that has helped keep her going,
Fast forward 15 years, an anniversary, a reason to celebrate. But in the midst of this pandemic - for the first time in 15 years - Silvia is struggling to make it through.
We are asking for your support.
For Kosita’s pet grooming, for the years of dedication and kindness, and for Silvias heart. Let’s help her survive these rough times.
Silvia would NEVER ever have been able to ask for this help- unemployment applications throughout the state are through the roof and as yet Silvia has had no response (nor a stimulus check)
Thats why we decided to step forward to ask for your support to keep her shop, her hand-build from-the-ground-up dream, open. When the world returns to normal and doors are finally able to open again, Silvia will be close to three months behind on rent. We are hoping to raise $6000 to cover back rent.
Thank you ALL !
*I know these are really rough times for everyone - and if you can’t donate please know that it’s ok! *
