Keep Strawberry Fair Free for future generations

Strawberry Fair needs your help!

The event is one of the last existing Free independently run festivals left in the UK and is put on for the People of Cambridge, by the People of Cambridge.

The fair is not funded by big business and has always been free to enter.

It attracts over 30,000 visitors to enjoy music for free from over 150 local acts and across 13 areas including a free Kids Park, whilst also offering a marketplace of over 150 stalls for traders and community groups.

Strawberry Fair started in 1974 and has been going for 50 years - but like many other Festivals in the current economic climate, The Fair is struggling financially and is unable to carry on in it's present form without additional funding.

The Fair is organised by a "not for profit" community interest company totally run by volunteers to give everyone in Cambridge, no matter what walk of life they come from, a fantastic Free day out developing skills, experience and it just shows what can happen when a community comes together with a shared passion to create something so special and unique.

Strawberry Fair has established itself as one of the city's most loved days on the Calendar.

With our funding coming from donations, and from the fees from the stalls/bars we find we can not increase the costs to the traders at the same rate as the cost of living increases that the currrent crisis situation has created. For the last two years, the Fair has cost considerably more to run than the income it has received - and can not carry on with out help!

So whilst the organising committee are pausing their usual plans for 2025, the Fair will return in 2026, and your donations here now will help us to ensure we can do this sustainably.

If everyone in Cambridge and surrounding area who has been to the Fair and loved it were able to make a donation no matter how small, we could secure the future of this wonderful event for another ten years.
