Keep Southview Park Safe from Wainhomes
Residents in and around Southview Park have been challenging Wainhomes attempts to turn their residential streets and cul de sac into a construction site for 7 years.
Residents have not objected to the 91 homes that they want to build however we do object to the access through Southview Park as there is a suitable alternative from the roundabout at West Ashton off of the main road.
As we understand it that access belongs to Persimmon who have offered Wainhomes to use it at a cost which clearly Wainhomes do not want to pay. Wainhomes should also be contributing to the infrastructure of the Ashton Park Development however are trying to avoid this by using Southview Park as a cost free route despite the dangers it will bring to their own customers health and safety.
Wiltshire Council finally rejected Wainhomes planning application 16/00547/ful in October 21 at a strategic planning committee meeting but Wainhomes have now appealed the decision and requested a public inquiry at the tax payers expense which will last 8 days in August 2022.
We would like to raise funds to cover the cost of an Appeal statement to be used as evidence at the inquiry by the same company that we previously used to comission a report to provide to Wiltshire Counvil as evidence of our highway safety concerns etc.
Please if you can help us, it would be greatly appreciated
