Keep Sligo's Mosque open

Alsalam Alykom. Hi my name is Ahmed. And I'm starting this fundraiser to keep Sligo's mosque open for the Muslim community.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever builds a mosque, desiring thereby Allah’s satisfaction, Allah builds for him the like of it in paradise.” [Bukhari]

The building which the Mosque was a part of, for the last 10 years, was sold in an auction last week.

As Muslim community we have to raise €150,000 to ensure that the Mosque remains open for all worshippers.

Communal prayers, spiritual guidance, Islamic education for children and a safe community hub are only a few of the benefits of having a mosque open in our growing community.

This Great deed is also a wonderful act of Sadaqah Jariyah! The rewards are endless, and as long as all people are benefiting from the mosque your participation and contribution will ensure that you’ll continue to receive rewards from Allah (SWT) even in the Hereafter InshaAllah.

Hadhrat Anas (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “There are seven such actions that a servant carries out, the reward of which will continue to be written for him in his grave after his demise; (1) the one who had imparted some Deeni knowledge, (2) or dug a canal, (3) or dug a well, (4) or planted a tree, (5) or built a Masjid, (6) or left a Qur’an in inheritance, (7) or left behind a child who seeks forgiveness on his behalf after his demise.”

We are making this plea to our generous community, to kindly donate, to ensure that we can secure the outstanding amount within the specified deadline.
