When they silence 270 journalists, they’re not just killing voices — they’re killing history. Let’s make sure the next generation can keep telling it.
Over 270 journalists and media workers have been killed in Gaza since October 2023 — the deadliest period for journalists in modern history.
They weren’t just documenting; they were witnessing. They were showing the world what it means to survive under siege, to love under occupation, to resist erasure with a camera in their hands.
Every time a storyteller dies, a truth disappears.
But every time one survives, hope continues.
This campaign supports Palestinian storytellers — photographers, journalists, filmmakers, and editors — who are documenting life in Gaza and beyond. Many of them have lost homes, equipment, and family members, yet they continue to tell the stories that others cannot.
Your contribution will help us:
- Provide training, mentorship, and tools for young storytellers in Gaza and the diaspora
- Support local production of short films, photo essays, and documentaries
- Rebuild creative spaces and workshops destroyed by war
- Ensure Palestinian voices remain independent, safe, and heard around the world
WHY THIS MATTERS
Colonialism doesn’t only destroy lives — it tries to destroy memory.
That’s why storytelling is resistance.
Because when Palestinians tell their own stories, they reclaim their narrative from those who have tried to silence them for generations.
If we don’t protect the storytellers, the world will only hear the occupier’s version of history.
WHAT WE’VE DONE SO FAR
- Through Don’t Skip Humanity and our local partners, we’ve already:
- Trained over 50 young storytellers in Gaza and the West Bank
- Supported the production of short documentaries like Free Fish and What We Carried
- Helped provide equipment, mentorship, and international visibility to emerging Palestinian voices
But now, as so many journalists have been killed, the need is greater than ever.
We’re building a Storytelling Academy for Gaza — a place (both physical and digital) for training, creation, and collaboration, led by Palestinians, for Palestinians.
Any amount you give keeps this work alive.
❤️ IN MEMORY
We remember the more than 270 Palestinian journalists who gave their lives for truth. Their courage lit a path. It’s up to us to keep that light from going out.

Thank you for standing with the truth, for believing in storytelling as resistance, and for helping a new generation of Palestinians carry the story forward — with dignity, with power, and with hope.
From Gaza to the world, thank you.
