I’m writing this with a heavy heart about my dad, who is now facing deportation because of mistakes he made over 20 years ago. Back then, he was young, lost, and trying to figure out life in a new country after losing his father at an early age. Without the right guidance or support, he made choices he’s regretted ever since.

But that was a long time ago. My dad has completely turned his life around. He’s been a hardworking, loving, and dependable father who’s done everything he can to provide for our family. He’s never hurt anyone. He’s the kind of man who does so much for everyone without hesitation and never expects anything in return. Even when he doesn’t have much, he’s always the first to help someone else.

For almost two decades, he’s lived an honest life — no trouble, no problems, just a man trying to do right by his kids and loved ones. To me, he’s my hero. To our family, he’s the heart that keeps us all together.

Now, those old mistakes are coming back to haunt him, and he’s at risk of being deported from the only home he’s ever really known. The thought of losing him breaks my heart. We can’t imagine life without him here — not just as a dad, but as a son, brother, uncle, and friend.

An immigration attorney has advised that there may be a way to challenge or reopen his old cases to help him fight for his right to stay. But this process is complicated and costly. Legal representation, filing fees, and court expenses add up quickly — costs that our family simply cannot afford alone.
