I’m asking for help because my family is in immediate danger of falling behind even further on our mortgage while I deal with serious health problems that have kept me from working. For multiple months, I have been chronically sick and have missed a lot of work. I was also hospitalized for several days, and emergency MRIs revealed diseased white matter in my brain. Since then, I have been diagnosed with chronic migraine and MS.

At the same time, United Healthcare is denying the medications I need and part of my hospitalization. The medical stress has been overwhelming on its own, but missing so much work has also put us behind on our bills and mortgage. My husband has been putting in overtime, but it still is not enough to help us catch up on everything, including day-to-day expenses, my medications, and doctor visits. We have applied several times this year for state assistance and have not qualified.

I held off on asking for help because I kept trying to push myself to work, but instead I became even sicker and ended up admitted to the hospital. Now we need help immediately. The first priority for any funds raised is catching up on our mortgage so our home does not go into foreclosure. My husband and I have worked so hard to give our girls a stable home, and I am doing everything I can to keep that from being taken away.
