Hello everyone,
My name is Monica and I have a 4 1/2-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy with my fiancé, Trenton.
This past year has really put us through the wringer. I lost my mother, who was my best friend, at the end of May, followed by losing my job in September.
We were receiving housing assistance up until earlier this year, and the price increase in rent was the start of where I got behind on finances.
In August, Trenton's wages began to be garnished for child support on his daughter he had when we met. So, every month he has half of his paycheck taken on top of getting behind on rent.
Ever since my mother's passing, my mental health took a pretty steep decline, and when I lost my job, I did start to get counseling. Somewhere along the lines, between the stress of drowning in bills and my mental health, I screwed up and didn't get rent paid for 3 months.
Now we have received an eviction notice/housing notice stating we need 3,238 by the 29th of this month.
I don't know what to do, I don't want my kids to be out on the streets in Oregon during winter.
