Keep Lula Rose Open Amid Construction Woes

Lula Rose needs your help! The current East Colfax BRT construction in Denver is threatening to close Lula Rose. Since construction began, it has become very difficult to access our small cafe. The fencing and blockades have negatively impacted our ability to operate and, as a result, our long time employees’ jobs are at stake.

The City of Denver’s attitude towards this project is that “this is all in the name of progress.” However, bulldozing the history of Colfax seems to be the sacrifice of adding this bus lane. We disagree.

We have strived to be a community hub for East Colfax, Congress Park, City Park and beyond for the last 10 years. If you can, please donate to help us keep our cafe open and our employees able to earn the wages and tips that they deserve.
