Hello Theater Friends. We come to the "stage" with some updates and announcements. We have hit a rough patch here at LLT. Not sure if you heard.... but in the end of winter, the furnace of the building failed and must be replaced. It is no longer able to be cobbled together.... the whole system has to be replaced due to its age. This is going to be very expensive and we are trying to figure that out.
On top of that, one of our (tiny) volunteer team over here that helps run the place, build the sets, often runs tech, and does just about everything you can think of had a heart attack and is now recovering. Another one of our family members has been in the hospital in the ICU. Then one of our actors had a medical emergency causing us to need to adapt the dates of production. In all of this, we have needed to make some decisions to "smallen" our season. We continue to work on our remodel but also need/ed some time to care for the dear folks in our lives, and our own team. We unfortunately need to remove our main musical (Hansel & Gretel) from the line-up this summer but will look to produce it in the future as it is one of our all-time favorite shows. We will continue to keep the concerts and other events on our calendar, along with Love Letters with new dates.
We appreciate your kindness and understanding. Season Pass Holders.... we will adjust your season ticket prices and take care of that with you when we see you next.
HOW CAN YOU HELP???
Please cross your fingers for us, pray, send well wishes and GET TICKETS for the shows that will carry on. And if you are in a place where a financial donation might be feasible, we REALLY could use some help to get a new heating system into the theater so our fall and winter plans can carry on. I didn't want to mention it, but the A/C has been misbehaving too, so the quotes we are getting are all over $20,000 and would include proper air conditioning so we continue our shows and community gatherings at LLT.
