The reason I am re-uploading it is the same as the first time I created this campaign: my son and I are in a difficult situation, and I have exhausted all of my personal resources. We are currently on a government program that provides temporary assistance, but it requires that I report my income. I wouldn’t have been accepted otherwise. This program is only a short-term safety net, and I hope to rely on it for no more than three months while we work toward stability. Jobs can take a turn at any moment and that’s what mine did. We lived on savings until we couldn’t and started asking for help. The assistance is for food and one bill but not long term stability or housing.
Right now, our housing is temporary and will end in October. Despite working hard this past year, my business has experienced loss due to the economy, tariffs, and other external challenges. My skincare business, which has been the primary source of our independence, took a major hit. I’ve also been relying on side gigs like Rover and TikTok Shop, but opportunities have become more inconsistent. Companies that once supported me are closing, and I haven’t had a consistent source of income. I want to be honest: if I weren’t facing a financial crisis, I wouldn’t need this GoFundMe. I know that my social media presence can sometimes look “fun” or “light” or even luxurious but I work in the beauty industry so I get free products, injections, clothes, access to spas but that doesn’t mean I spend money or these things. Behind the scenes I have been doing everything possible just to survive. Family and friends have helped as much as they can, but it isn’t enough for us to establish a long-term, stable foundation. That’s why we need community support. I cannot do this alone, and your help can make a real difference in giving us the chance to create a fresh start. I can’t put my son in preschool until I have reliable transportation. If I lose housing my son and I will also lose government assistance since you need housing for programs. Shelters take months and a job with consistent income to get into. We cannot apply for loans at this time.
While bankruptcy will help relieve the burden of bills and medical debt, it does not give us immediate cash to move into a new home. I have the skills and experience to generate income, and I have done so in the past but I have never been able to launch or create from a place that wasn’t survival mode. Without a safety net, support, and stability, building long-term financial security has been almost impossible. For those who want to help but may also need support themselves, I have created a support group. My hope is to build a community where we can help each other, share resources, and lift each other up. Every donation, no matter the size, brings my son and me one step closer to stability and a fresh start. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for being part of our journey. Your support is not just financial it is emotional, motivational, and life-changing. You are keeping my son and I out of toxic abusive dynamics that have lead us to this instability in the first place.
Every bit helps, and thank you for reading, sharing and loving us through this.
