Keep Larry Smiling: Support His Surgery

Larry is the kind of dog who wins everyone over. Goofy, gentle, endlessly sweet — the kind of dog who still manages to smile, even while in pain.

Six years ago, Larry was adopted from a small rescue (now closed), and he's been the best boy ever since. Sadly, his owner could no longer keep him, and he’s been fostered in the DaleyPawz Sleepover room for two long months, waiting to find a forever home.

Today, he FINALLY had a meet-and-greet. The dogs hit it off right away, started to play — but in a freak accident, the other dog happily jumped over Larry, and her leash got caught under his thigh. The buckle on the leash had a sharp metal piece sticking out, and during the excitement, it ripped Larry’s groin wide open.

He was rushed to the ER on a Sunday, bleeding and in serious pain (But, in Larry fashion, still smiling). Now he’s at the hospital, awaiting surgery. UPDATED: The estimated bill is between $6,000 and $9,000 — and we will update as we have more information.

Please — help us help him. He was this close to a forever home.
