Keep Kyra's Kids in their Own Home

Spende geschützt
Kyra has been trying to divorce her husband since December 2016. Her ex husband has extended the process by contesting full child support, back support and medical/therapy/educational and 1-1 aide expenses for their children. COVID has helped him in this. While Kyra has crowdfunded legal fees in the past, her case is now going to trial. This adds an up to additional $50,000 to her cost for divorce. Court is set for January, 2023.

Her ex claims he has a right to a portion of her house, which was her childhood home, willed to her by her father, and which never served as the marital home. It would force her to sell her childhood home, where her children have lived with her for the past five years.

Kyra is a working artist and is currently the main provider for her four medically complex special needs children. Her home business allows her the flexibility to attend their appointments, handle school issues, and care for them when their mental illnesses leave them homebound for weeks at a time. Unfortunately, it does not earn enough to cover an unexpected 50,000 in lawyer and court fees.

In order to keep her home, to avoid uprooting her children, and to get the support owed her so that she can afford the services of SLP and dyslexia specialists, Kyra needs help paying for court. If court costs are awarded to her or if her ex settles before court, she will donate unused funds to helping other abused women gain financial security and safety for themselves and their children. You can either help by donating to this GoFundMe or by patronizing her business at www.Etsy.com/shop/ironlacedesign
