Help Protect Our Community’s Open Space

Our community is facing a proposed rezoning of the Westin Kierland Mesquite Golf Course that could significantly change the character of our neighborhood.

The proposal would convert existing open space into higher-density development. Many residents have expressed serious concerns about the potential impacts, including:

The Kierland Community Alliance was formed in 2019 to protect the community's interest as it relates to development in the area and preserve the character of the Kierland Community.

We believe this proposal deserves careful, independent review to ensure that any decision is fully informed and in the best long-term interest of our community.

Our Goal has been updated to: $30,000

Thanks to the generous support of this community, we very quickly achieved our initial goal of raising $20,000.

We are seeking to raise an additional $10,000, raising our total to $30,000 to retain experienced professionals who can properly evaluate and respond to this rezoning proposal.

If just 200 more households contribute $50 each, we can increase our reach and effectively fund this effort.

That’s less than the cost of a dinner out — to help protect the long-term character, stability, and value of our neighborhood.
