Keep Katrina's Family Together During Her Battle

I'm starting this Go Fund Me account, because my daughter Katrina, a beautiful woman of faith, and the mother of 4 amazing children, and of whom is battling stage 4 breast cancer going on 2 years, has recently lost soul custody of her youngest child.

The Father of her youngest, her 6 year old daughter Alleia, just recently won temporary soul custody of Alleia, my daughter has to turn her child over to him this Sunday. She will then only see her child 3 weekends out of the month. This man just came back into his daughter's life, late last year after 3 years of being completely absent in her life, by choice.

The heartbreaking reasons for the removal of her child, is so she may focus on her recovery, as well as, the fact that Alleia is around 2 family friendly dogs, that the court states are known to turn on people. One is 3 years old, about 75% Labrador and the rest pit, and the other, is a 1 year old purebred Rottweiler. Both have been around my grandchildren since they were weaned. These dogs belong to two of Katrina's oldest children. Katrina was not given the opportunity to make other arrangements, before the judgment. We most certainly feel the system failed Katrina.

No child should be taken from their mother, because they are battling cancer, when in fact, the children are what keeps that mother pushing forward, even on the bad days. My daughter has a village helping her when she is having a bad day. Her daughter has never been a burden on her, while battling cancer. Katrina is going to fight this, and we need all the support we can get in doing so. That precious 6-year-old child needs to stay with who she's known all of her life, and that's her mommy, and her siblings, who are absolutely distraught over this judgment.

Katrina not only needs funds for a lawyer, we too need to raise enough funds so that she may move back into her own place with her children. This will help her in this battle as well. When getting her own home, she's going to need almost everything. As many of y'all know my granddaughter's home, in which Katrina was staying at, was burglarized last year, and 85% of Katrina and the children's belongings were stolen.

Katrina also needs funds to get the remaining issues of her car repaired, from where it was rear-ended last year by a drunk driver. So she may continue to work Door Dashing in order to support her family. At the moment it's still to dangerous to drive, so she's having to use her son's car.

We just want to do everything possible to insure that Katrina gets her daughter back in her care ASAP. This is a travesty of Justice and no mother battling cancer, should have to go through something as heart breaking as this is.
