My name is Bryan. My close friend of over 20 years, Justin Bresnahan has found himself in a dire situation.

He is currently unable to work, has major spine issues that require several surgeries to correct, is bound to a wheelchair, has major neurological issues, and severe depression.

He can not work. This I'm sure of. He's not walking more than a few steps at a time, can not type on a keyboard and doesn't have the mental capacity to focus on anything other than basic survival tasks.

He's been trying to get Social Security benefits for a year and has been denied 3 times. He was on disability until recently and it got revoked because an insurance adjuster who he's never met in person decided he should get a job. He has no vehicle and is living in a hotel with his service dog, Lilly.

I've been tending to his needs as much as possible, but now with zero money coming in, he has only a couple weeks before he is homeless. His diet consists of what a hotel lobby has for continental breakfast.

In mid February he has an in person appeal with the social security administration and if it's denied, he's going to have to move into a homeless shelter. He has also appealed his long term disability being stopped but that hearing isn't for 45 days.

His request is simple. Chip in what you can so he can continue to have food and shelter until his hearings.

If his appeals are successful, he will have enough funds to take care of himself, but in the mean time, he's basically broke.
