My husband John and I have been married for 25 years, and he has been my partner and support through it all. John was adopted from a Canadian orphanage as a baby and has lived in the United States his entire life. He has always worked hard, paid his taxes, and built a life here with me and our family. Recently, when we tried to get him fully naturalized at the age of 66, we were devastated to learn that his citizenship was denied. Instead, he was served with a Notice to Appear and now faces a pending deportation case.
We are both disabled and living on a fixed income, which makes this situation even more overwhelming. The costs of hiring an immigration lawyer to help us fight this case are far beyond what we can afford. John has never known any other home, and the thought of losing him to deportation is heartbreaking for our family.
Please help us keep John home—here in the only country he has ever known for 66 years. He has a loving wife and stepdaughter who need him, but we cannot afford the costs to fight this immigration case alone. Any support you can offer will make a world of difference in helping us keep our family together.
