Hi, I'm Jessica, 18 years old. I've been dealing with mental health issues since 2020. I have not been able to graduate high school because of it, but I'm working on my GED. I live with my mom in California; she can't work a regular job because she's at home taking care of me, basically.

My dad worked in construction in Ohio. Last March, he suffered a massive stroke. He stayed 3 months in the hospital and then went to a rehabilitation center. He's been there since then.

Financially, my mom and I depend on him. These last months have been very hard, especially covering the rent. We are always late. Mom's savings are gone. We are still looking for a job, unsuccessfully. I'm trying to keep up, but my mental health gets the best of me. I was in a mental hospital a couple of times.

We need help to get back on track with the rent. We hope things will be better as soon as I get my diploma. It would be easier to find a job, and hopefully, my mom will find something as well.
