Keep Jackie Housed and Healthy in Oakland

Greetings community! My name is Camilla and my housemates and I are raising funds for my neighbor who is going through a tough time financially and physically. Jackie, born and raised in Oakland, has been a great neighbor to us since we moved into our Oakland. She is generous, thoughtful and welcoming to us creating a warm and communal feeling on our block. She is a mother to Oakland creatives as well as a cat mom, who has steadily got back on her feet after dealing with homelessness and incarceration throughout her life. My housemates and I are transplants in Oakland, so especially in the context of gentrification, we refuse to turn a blind eye to Jackie, who has lived at our address for over 5 years. We ask that the community around us shows up to support our neighbor, to make sure she stays safe and healthy.
