Hello, my name is Candice, a westside resident. Here's the story of Fred and Annie. Fred is a homeless veteran who recently had a stroke and became homeless. He stays around Western Hills. He has had his companion, Annie, since a puppy and she is now 7.5 years old. They both need a place to stay for the winter, TOGETHER. Annie must stay with Fred, they are a family. Fred is also partially blind. Veteran's affairs have offered him a place, but Annie cannot go, they say, and Fred cannot be without her. Annie is very calm and gentle. Any help is greatly appreciated.
