KEEP FOREST RANCH CLEAN
Donation protected
This sole purpose of this gofundme page is to raise funds to help pay for the cleanup and removal of illegal trash dumping in the Forest Ranch area.
Unfortunately, over the past few years, many of us have seen an increase of garbage, trash and junk being dumped in the beautiful area we all call home. While many residents are disturbed and angry about this illegal dumping, not all of us have the time or equipment to deal with larger messes or large items (like large appliances etc.).
It has just come to my attention that for some time now, David Cuccio a local resident, has been cleaning up illegal dumping messes in the area and hauling them to the landfill at his own expense.
David has offered to clean up illegal dump sites in the Forest Ranch area. Residents need only report the illegal dumpsite location on the “Forest Ranch Neighbors” Facebook page, mention David’s name so he sees the post, and he will take care of it as soon as he can. That’s a pretty good deal for the community!
We all benefit from his efforts, so I believe it’s important that as many of us donate to this fund as possibile, so that David can be compensated (to some degree) for his time and expenses for this work.
The ongoing purpose of this fundraising page will be to offset David’s cost for his time, fuel and dump fees associated with the cleanup and removal of this illegal dumping. David will be the only person that can withdraw funds from this gofundme account. Not anyone else including myself, will have access to the funds. If something changes, and David does not want to do this community cleanup work any longer, then we will either find someone else who is willing to do the cleanup work and accept the donations, or I will delete the gofundme page altogether. But David tells me he will continue this work as long as he lives here, weather we help fund it or not.
A word about trust.
I’ve never met David, I first talked to him on the phone today to get his OK on this idea. But I have seen other Forest Ranch residents speak very highly of him on our local Facebook page. You can ask around. Folks that know him say he is honest, and hardworking. I did not know his name until he cleaned up, and hauled away a large pile of junk someone dumped just off HWY 32. He did this at his own expense. That impressed me enough to start this fund.
Again, this idea involves trusting another Forest Ranch Resident to use these donations for what they are intended for. There will not be any official tracking of the funds as they are spent, but from what I have seen and heard so far, I'm confident there will be good results that will benefit the whole community.
If you have any doubts about donating to this effort, then PLEASE DO NOT DONATE TO IT. I am starting it as an experiment in hopes that it helps us all work together to KEEP FOREST RANCH CLEAN. Thanks everybody!
