My name is Megan and I'm doing a sponsored swim to raise funds for Felling Volunteer Library (where I am a volunteer

On May 22nd I will be swimming for one hour exactly to see how many lengths I can manage to do in that time -I'm aiming for 50.

Our library was saved from closure in 2017 by local people. The volunteers are responsible for raising all the funds needed to keep the library open . It's a wonderful place where people can meet, take part in our many activities and make new friends in a safe welcoming environment.

Felling is a great community with a proud history but it does also face challenges. Our library really makes a difference. Please help to keep it open!

Well today is the day ! I'll update you later......

Success ! I completed 56 lengths (1400 metres) in exactly one hour this afternoon. Tim kept count and watched the clock for me. Cameras aren't allowed in the swimming baths so no pictures unfortunately though we did do a reenactment later !

By pure coincidence we also got a message from the National Lottery today to say they will find our core expenses for 2 years. We applied months ago and had not heard back so it was a great surprise .
