With your support as a donor or private lender, we can sustain and grow a first-of-its-kind hub where moms and children find safety, strength, and connection—exactly when they need it most.
At Facing Giants, we are intentionally designed to do healing, education, and community differently. Families don’t have to wait for a diagnosis or system approval—here, they gain real-time access to encouragement, tools, and support while navigating conflict, bullying, divorce, loss, and the daily pressures of modern life.
Our Eugene, Oregon space offers play and sensory rooms, family support groups, and healing-centered education—a rare environment where mothers and children build resilience, community, and hope.

Why Facing Giants Matters
Today’s mothers and children are carrying an endless weight of demands and expectations—juggling school, work, family transitions, digital distractions, and a constant stream of information. For too many, the supports they need come with long waitlists, high costs, or stigmatizing labels, leaving families stranded at the very moments they need help most.
Historically, mothers were supported by community. But today, many are raising children in isolation more than ever before, navigating one of the loneliest walks of life: motherhood. Facing Giants was created to walk alongside families in these realities—providing spaces of connection, courage, and community where mothers and children can be seen, supported, and strengthened.
If mothers were truly supported for the incredible perseverance, dedication, and sacrifice required to raise the next generation, we would not see the current trends of increasing childhood mental illness, suicide, and the silent crisis of maternal isolation. Facing Giants exists to change that—by building resilience, prevention, and empowerment right where families live and grow, built on professional insight and the lived experience of motherhood.
What We Provide
Play & Sensory Rooms – Intentional spaces for mothers and children to reconnect, explore safely, and build trust.
Group Supports for Moms – Guidance for mothers carrying the invisible load of parenting alone, helping them gain skills, community, and confidence.
Resilience & Prevention Education – Teaching kids body safety, consent, and autonomy, and helping parents learn new language for hard conversations.
Creative Expression for Kids – Art and expressive groups that help children process emotions, build emotional intelligence, and develop resilience.
Divorce & Family Court Support – Groups for children navigating grief and conflict, and for moms learning to guide their kids through confusing transitions.
Domestic Violence Survivor Groups – Safe spaces for women to re-integrate into community, rediscover strength, and begin to rebuild.
Our Vision
Facing Giants isn’t therapy. It’s community empowerment and prevention—a place where families can:
Learn tools to prevent harm before it happens
Find language for healthy boundaries and connection
Develop resilience that lasts a lifetime
Heal together in safe, supportive spaces
Replace isolation with community and collaboration
By empowering kids and moms with knowledge, tools, and safe community, we are working to shift cultural trends from reactive crisis care toward prevention, resilience, and empowerment.
