Earth Day: Propel Energy Savers to the Next Level!
Donation protected
Energy Savers Network (ESN) is based on the simple idea that we can fight pollution and climate change by acting in our own communities in ways that directly benefit our most vulnerable neighbors. Our skilled staff and volunteers lower the energy burden of limited-income families in Western North Carolina by providing an energy assessment and weatherization measures like air sealing, water saving fixtures, LED light bulbs, etc. For many clients we are then able to follow up with more extensive home repairs and more extensive energy-saving work, including insulation, heat pumps, and heat pump water heaters. Contributions to our program unlock funds from Duke Energy that bring additional dollars into our community.
We have an immediate need to raise funds to take advantage of greatly extended funding from Duke. This funding allows us to provide our clients with more extensive energy upgrades than we have ever done, but we need other funds for working capital and new staff to make it all happen. Our community's needs are heightened by the stress and disruption in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. The next few months will be critical.
Energy Savers Network is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit.
