Dear Family and Friends,

My grandson Maui is a vivacious, loving boy who was placed in the Foster care system over a year ago. My son Eddie has been fighting to get him back. Eddie has completed all the required services and now has Maui on the weekends as a result. Unfortunately, Maui’s mom still has supervised visitation rights due to lack of cooperation with the program requirements, as well as mental health and addiction issues. 

As of now, Maui’s mom has found herself an older suitor with the financial means to pay for a high dollar lawyer. Meanwhile, my son doesn’t qualify for a court appointed attorney. Eddie is working hard to save every penny he can to give the lawyer a retainer fee so that the custody process, which will bring Maui home from CPS involvement, can begin immediately. The estimated cost is $6,000 and the lawyer requires $2,500 to get the process going. 

It is in my grandson’s best interest to be in a safe home with his father right now. Maui is not emotionally attached to his mother because of her negligence, but he has formed a deep bond with his father. Family and friends, I am not one to ask, but if you can help us with a donation so we can get Maui back home safely to his dad, we would be forever grateful.
