As cultural organizations face ongoing funding cuts, the East African Student Association is seeking $5,000 to sustain our community and cultural programming. Our annual Culture Show, a cornerstone event that celebrates East African heritage through music, fashion, and storytelling, costs nearly $10,000 to produce. Of the $5,000 we’re requesting, $3,000 will go toward covering the venue cost for this year’s show, and $2,000 will help fund next year’s programming and ensure the continued success of the Culture Show. Your support makes it possible for us to preserve and uplift East African culture on campus.
