Hello, my name is Angela Taylor, and I am creating this fundraiser to help my son, Daniel “DJ” Taylor, cover the legal expenses necessary to hire an attorney for an upcoming custody case involving his 5-year-old daughter, Khloe-Kait.

My son is a devoted single father who loves his daughter more than words can express. Khloe-Kait is his entire world, and he would do absolutely anything to protect her and be present in her life. DJ and his daughter currently reside in Kentucky, and until now there has never been a court-ordered custody agreement because both parents were able to co-parent amicably.

Unfortunately, that has recently changed. Khloe-Kait’s mother has filed a petition seeking full custody and permission to relocate with Khloe-Kait to Louisiana. If this relocation is granted, my son would only be able to see his daughter during holidays or school breaks. The thought of being separated from his little girl in this way is heartbreaking.

As many of us know, legal costs are overwhelming, and court proceedings are not inexpensive. My son is not the type of person who asks for help — he has always tried to handle everything on his own. As his mother, it breaks my heart that I cannot simply take this burden away from him or fight this battle in his place. All I can do is reach out and ask for support on his behalf.

For those who know DJ, you know how deeply he loves Khloe-Kait and how dedicated he is to being a constant, loving presence in her life. Losing the ability to see her regularly would be devastating to him and would deeply affect their bond.
