Hi everyone,

As many of my friends and family are aware, Dalton and I met while he was on a trip down from British Columbia, CA where he was only staying in Las Vegas for a few days. We had no idea we would remain in contact once he left, and that our relationship would blossom into a marriage and now a family after the birth of our son, Levi.

Over the last 6 months we have been saving every penny to pay for immigration fees, in order to keep him in the US with myself and Levi....This has been incredibly difficult as Dalton is not allowed to work legally in the US and the conversion rate from CAD to USD has been particularly awful. After the birth of our son, I became a SAHM as we could not afford childcare. We have solely been relying on Dalton's income to pay for his bills, my bills, immigration and lawyer fees, and expenses for Levi.

Just a quick break down of how much we have paid for legal fees thus far:

Immigration lawyer: $4000

Filing fees: $1500

Required vaccines for Dalton: $1500

We were able to pay for a large chunk of this thanks to a loan from one of my very generous family members. However, we are struggling to make up the remainder as we have been hit with additional unexpected legal fee's, car issues, and medical fee's.

Dalton had been working full time back and forth from Canada (but cannot now due to immigration laws) and I have been trying to make additional income during the evenings with side work after being up with the baby all night and during the day.

With the 6 months coming to an end, Dalton's Visa waiver will be up on Oct 5th. We need to pay to remaining filing fee's or he risks deportation back to CA which would require us leaving altogether or facing even more expensive legal fee's with the recent changes President Trump has made to immigration laws.

We know everyone is struggling right now, and do not expect anything from anyone. The last thing we wanted to do was ever ask for any handouts but we are both scared as to what may happen if we do not get his green card application filed in time. I sincerely appreciate the time anyone has taken to read this and any help towards keeping my family together.
