Hi all!

Christopher came to Sheridan and Jaramie a year ago after having a bit of a rough start in life. He was born and lived in Virginia with his bio parents until he was 6 weeks old, but due to unfortunate circumstances, they were unable to care for him (or his 3 siblings), and he was sent to live with a family friend who was given physical custody.

Fast forward—Christopher is about 19 months old, and the physical custodian could no longer care for him. Her mental health and his extra behavioral needs became too much, and she turned to Sheridan and Jaramie for help. That’s when Christopher came into their lives.

Over the past year, Sheridan and Jaramie have worked to give Christopher the stability, love, and support he deserves. They’ve made major progress with his development, behavior, physical health, and he can even snowboard better than Sheridan - he’s truly thriving.

Unfortunately, they are being met with a new challenge. A custody battle — a long and expensive legal process. Sadly, love and stability aren’t enough to keep Christopher where he belongs — Sheridan and Jaramie now need financial support to make it happen. As two school employees, they simply do not have the resources to do this alone, which is why I’m asking for help on their behalf.

Christopher has spent nearly half of his life with Sheridan and Jaramie, forming the bonds and attachments that are so critical at his age. Every cent that is raised will go towards securing his future and keeping him in the safe, loving home he knows and deserves.
