Hey everyone, I’m reaching out on behalf of my sister, Bernadette. I am desperately trying to help her as much as I can, but I am finding I can only do so much having 5 babies of my own. So I’m turning to family, friends and community for maybe a little more help.
Bernadette is one of my 6 sisters and she is a single mother to my beautiful niece Ariella. After learning she was pregnant, Bernadette was abandoned and left to fend for herself by a boy (he is no man) whose father advised him poorly that he was too young to have a kid. Bernadette buckled down and decided she was going to do it on her own and find a way no matter what. She has been struggling and working herself to the bone trying to make sure her daughter never knows hunger or homelessness. She recently moved to a new state and a new town to start over and the company who hired her informed her they changed their mind and didn’t need her anymore before she even worked a single day. She scrambled to find a new job as quickly as possible and reached out to her local church for help as well. I have been helping her pay for childcare while she works, but bills are starting to creep up and she’s falling behind because she had a two week lapse in employment due to not getting the job she moved out there for. She just started working again, but isn’t collecting any pay as of yet.
If you can spare even just a single dollar, it would mean the world to me. I just want to raise enough to get her through one month so she can reestablish her bank account and get back on track. I don’t want her to lose her home or her car. She is trying so hard and never asks for handouts. So I am doing it for her. I remember being a struggling mother and living each day terrified I wouldn’t be able to make ends meet for my children. I wish that on no one and I’m trusting in God and in the charity of family and friends to spare her the feeling of failing as a mother. I want her to know she’s not failing, she’s just in a tough spot and we all hit a few in life and we all get through it with help from the people around us who have found themselves in a more fortunate position. So from the bottom of my heart, I’m asking you to help me help my sister who is a single struggling mom. I want her to know she’s not alone and that there are better days ahead
