Hi, I'm Ann. I lost my car to an Uber accident, because of hitting a deer on the highway. It was a five car pileup. Because I lost my car, I lost my job with Uber, and I lost my apartment. I have been homeless since February with my poodle and my cat. I am currently staying at a motel for $63 a day, which comes out to over $1600 a month. I really can't afford that, and if I go to a homeless shelter, they will expect me to surrender my pets who are 10 years old and 16 years old. My poodle is deaf and blind in one eye. They're sweet pets who are clean and not destructive in the slightest. They have been with me since they are babies. They are the only family I have, and I am the only family they know. I'm just trying to help us to stay together. If I can get $2000 to move into an apartment for rent, I can give my pets a home and not worry about sleeping outside in the cold, or surrendering them to a shelter where they might get euthanized. I have one full-time job as a front desk, person at a nice hotel, and I'm trying to get a second job, but waiting for your first paycheck is really hard when you have no money and you need travel and living expenses for two weeks. I have totally run out of money and slept at a gas station last night because I couldn't pay the Motel bill. I really need help guys. If I could move into an apartment for $1000 a month, I could afford that, versus the $1600 a month for the Motel. Winter is coming, it is cold outside, and if I don't have shelter over my head, I will most likely lose the job that I have because I won't be able to show up to work clean and well rested. The government is shut down, and all the agencies around me are out of funding, believe me I checked. I'm turning 55 this month and I'm not a victim of domestic abuse, so there is a lot of help I don't even qualify for. If you guys can help me by Friday, it will save my pets lives, and it will save my heart from breaking.
