My name is Blake Petersen. I am currently a professor of TESOL at a private university in Missouri, and I have a very dear former student who is now in need of support as he has been deported but seeks to provide for his budding family.

Angel's family fled the violence in his home country, Honduras, when he was a small child and sought refuge in the USA. I had Angel as a middle school and high school student when I taught public school ESL. He graduated from high school last year and had been working to provide for his expectant girlfriend.

However, Angel was detained by ICE back in May of 2025, and was held for almost 3 months before being deported to Honduras even though he was working through the immigration process legally and awaiting a decision from an immigration judge on his case.

Though he is now in Honduras, he longs to be reunited with his hopefully soon-to-be wife and to be there to support her as she gives birth to their new baby girl in just over a week --- due date is early September.
