My friend Andres and his family are going through one of the hardest times of their lives. In just a few months, they may lose the only home they’ve known. His family of 9 has been struggling financially for years, and despite both of his parents working endlessly to provide for their children, they still can’t afford the rising cost of rent.

His parents came here as immigrants hoping to build a better future for their family. They sacrifice everything they have just to keep food on the table and a roof over their kids’ heads. But now, even after all their hard work, they’re being forced out of their home with nowhere affordable left to go.

If they can’t get enough help soon, Andres will have to leave the town he grew up in, leave his friends, his school, and the life he’s always known behind. No kid should have to watch their family struggle like this or be torn away from everything familiar because they can’t afford to survive.
