The Strawberry Fair Kids Park needs your help!
Support the things you love!
Every year the Kids Park is open in the heart of Strawberry Fair from noon until 6pm, offering hours of fun and silliness for children for absolutely nothing.
Crafts, music, bouncy castles, storytellers, clowns, science, silliness and more available for every child.
Rising costs are making it increasingly difficult to provide our activities, this year we won't be able to provide them all unless you help us.
Like the rest of the Fair, the Kids Park is entirely run by volunteers. We still have spaces if you'd like to get involved!
We believe that every child deserves to participate and play, which is why not only are the Kids Park entry and activities free just like the rest of Strawberry Fair, there's also nothing of any kind on sale in the area so that parents and children can enjoy the fun without any pressure to spend money.
Strawberry Fair
The event is one of the last existing Free independently run festivals left in the UK and is put on for the people of Cambridge, by the people of Cambridge.
Strawberry Fair attracts over 30,000 visitors to enjoy music for free from over 150 local acts and across 13 areas including a free Kids Park, whilst also offering a marketplace of over 150 stalls for traders and community groups.
The whole thing started back in 1974 and has been going for 50 years - but like many other festivals in the current economic climate, has struggled financially and unable to carry on in it's present form without additional funding.
The Fair is organised by a "not for profit" community interest company totally run by volunteers to give everyone in Cambridge, no matter what walk of life they come from, a fantastic free day out developing skills, experience and it just shows what can happen when a community comes together with a shared passion to create something so special and unique.
