Back in October 2025 I was working as a sales account manager for a software company. I don’t want to say which company for fear of retribution and given a pending court hearing I have against them. More importantly, in November 2025, my son was expected to be born.

The company had fired me a month before my son’s birth because I questioned a unilateral change in my compensation. They did this with no severance pay after 4 years working there and excluding me from pretty much all of the child benefits I was expected to get to help raise my son, being from Spain, it would have been significant support. As of today, almost 7 months after his birth we have received 0 in benefits from the government, which by law we are actually due, but the situation created by the company during the unfair dismissal has complicated everything.

Why did they do this? My guess is because I told them I had plans to sue and wanted me to have no money for a lawyer. But in doing so they also put a young family at risk, almost tearing us apart forever.

Of course when this happened I came up with a plan, to find work, income, survive and also fight back against the company the did this, but alas, not everything worked out as expected, especially the "find work" part and still on the search as of writing.

Where are we today?

-6 months behind on rent, going on 7 with the landlord trying to evict us

-not enough money for baby formula and running low on stocks, as well as other baby needs

-A Great Dane, part of our family, is up for adoption because we are really struggling taking care of her in financially, the first possible casualty of all this

-no money for upcoming utility bills

-8 months without a job, despite thousands of job applications sent and at least 20 interviews

-a family desperate, stressed and on the brink of separation

We need some help. My court hearing is in February 2027, I am in desperate need of work. My wife is working, but it's a low paying job and long hours. I take care of our child while looking for work and trying to earn online however possible.

If you can help, you are not only helping a family stay together, you are also putting your thumb in the eye of the corporate thugs that tried to destroy a family, and other corporations that are doing this to so many others around the world every day.

Most of this will go towards paying our 7 month backpay on rent and the rest will be spent on various needs of our baby boy. We will also get an immediate vet check up for Luna and If we somehow go over target or get more help elsewhere, we might be able to keep Luna with us.

¿Por qué hicieron esto? Supongo que porque les dije que pensaba demandarlos y querían que no tuviera dinero para un abogado. Pero al hacerlo, también pusieron en riesgo a una familia joven, casi separándonos para siempre.

Por supuesto, cuando esto sucedió, ideé un plan: encontrar trabajo, generar ingresos, sobrevivir y también luchar contra la empresa responsable. Pero, lamentablemente, no todo salió como esperaba, especialmente la parte de "encontrar trabajo", y sigo buscando hasta el momento.

¿Dónde estamos hoy?

- Seis meses de alquiler atrasados, casi siete, con el propietario intentando desalojarnos.

- No tenemos suficiente dinero para la leche de fórmula y nos estamos quedando sin provisiones, además de cubrir otras necesidades del bebé.

- Nuestra gran danesa, parte de la familia, está en adopción porque tenemos muchas dificultades económicas para mantenerla; es la primera posible víctima de todo esto.

- No tenemos dinero para las próximas facturas de servicios públicos.

- Ocho meses sin trabajo, a pesar de haber enviado miles de solicitudes y haber tenido al menos 20 entrevistas.

- Una familia desesperada, estresada y al borde de la separación.

Necesitamos ayuda. Mi audiencia judicial es en febrero de 2027; necesito trabajo urgentemente. Mi esposa trabaja, pero es un trabajo mal pagado y con muchas horas. Cuido de nuestro hijo mientras busco trabajo e intento ganar dinero online como sea posible.
