Kedesh Santuario, Beira Mozambique
Donation protected
Whenever I can, I have been visiting Kedesh Santuario in Beira, Mozambique every Friday since 2020. It is the highlight of my week. Kedesh provides a home for (currently) 27 boys aged 9-18. The boys live in dorms (one floor for the "little," a floor for the middle schoolers and an apartment for the older boys), are provided wholesome meals, attend local schools and are supported in finding career options as they get older. Some of their stories are truly heartwrenching. Life is often very difficult in Moz but Kedesh provides hope and these boys have my heart. You don't often find people authentically living the word of God minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day with as much grace, humility, humor and love as I have found at Kedesh. When you do, you are called to help in any way you can.
This winter, the Northwestern Women's basketball team and James's "On Deck Circle" (a group of boys he mentors) are collecting slides, shoes, shorts and shoes for the boys for me to take back on January 15th. I also wanted to offer an opportunity for my friends and family to support Kedesh financially.
