Hi, my name is Joey and I am fundraising for my wife Kecia and I. Kecia has touched so many lives. She cared for her middle brother, her Grandmother and my Mother until they passed. She has always had the heart of a servant and been a blessing to anyone that took time to know her. Kecia was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in April of 2023. The Cancer is now in her pancreas, liver, uterus and cervix despite radiation treatments and treatment with two different series of chemotherapy. She made the choice to withdraw from treatment and is now a hospice at home patient. We have no children, so I have been out work with her, as her primary caregiver, a great deal since April. Expenses are mounting, the family we have is doing their very best to help, but it overwhelming to attempt to do all this with one income, actually 60% of one income, as that is what FMLA pays. She was always the healthy one- we never saw this coming. We agreed to stop our high cost Life Insurance payments to take care of the house and a few other things for a year or two and almost immediately this diagnosis of cancer hits us. Kecia is everything to me. I am stubborn and never liked to ask for help. I’ve always felt like it meant I was a failure to do so, but God has really humbled me through this, I have learned to accept and do anything I can, as long as Kecia has everything she needs to be comfortable and cared for throughout the rest of her journey. Any amount would be appreciated. The amount I’m trying to raise would help with our mortgage, monthly bills, Kecia’s end of life expenses and any past due medical bills.
